  • First of all when you decide to have a party and a magician is chosen, make sure that you have set aside a place for the magician to perform. Either inside the house, in the garage, on the Veranda, or of courses the family room.

  • The Magician will need to know the average age of the children so that he can plan the type of Tricks that need to be performed. Mr Shoon-Shoon has different tricks for children aged 4, 6 or 8 and needs to plan this well in advance. He also needs to know the name of the birthday child so that she or he can help with the programme.

  • Mr Shoon-Shoon likes to arrive about a half hour before he performs so that he can lay up his show. He has a background curtain, which he builds up from a metal stand. The curtain is two and a half metres high and three metres wide. His wife helps bring the tricks on from behind this curtain. He also has a magic table and a magic stand. He needs about 3 square metres to perform and allows about two metres of space between him and the children. Do not worry too much about this because if there are difficulties he will overcome these.

    • Mr Shoon-Shoon does not like to perform outside because he has valuable and expensive tricks. If these are blown over in the wind or it rains it will damage his very expensive equipment.

    • He also has problems with the sun because either the children or the magician has to look into the sun and this spoils the show.

    • Further it is not healthy for Children or Mr Shoo-Shoon to sit in the sun for long periods.

    • Have you thought of what snacks and goodies you are going to give each child? You could overcome this problem by getting a “MAGIC LOOT BAG” which contains all you need. Click here or on the menu.
